Attention American Passport Holders!

YOU NEED A VISA TO GET INTO BRAZIL.

I made it to Paris before anyone bothered to tell me this.

Go ahead laugh.

It's funny.

I guess.

Maybe someday I'll even be able to laugh with you.

But not right now.

Right now I'm still just trying to breathe deeply through the embarrassment and disappointment of it all.

Back in Bergen.  Where it's cloudy and cold.  Naturally.

Ohhhhh... I am so sad for you.
I would have been really upset. I just want to go somewhere, so I am really looking forward to July!

Brazil has that cool New Years' where everyone throws pink flowers into the ocean on New Year's Eve and then in the morning, it has like a mile thick fushia rim of flowers along the entire shoreline.
I have seen an aerial photo of it once. Of course, it is April... try to go back for New Years... and take me with you!

Oh BUMMER! All week, I've thought about you sitting on a beach drinking mimosas and singing "Girl from Ipanema". Why did no one bother to tell you about a visa? Did Toby have one? And go on without you?

This is all wrong!!! I'm so sorry. Surely there'll be another opportunity, right? I'm fuming on your behalf, if that helps.

And thanks for the birthday present. I love it! And I love you!

I think it must run in your family. Gae did the same thing a few years back.
I know this dosn't make you feel any better, but knowing your Mom did it, might give you some peace of mind that you're not alone.

Oh Man that sucks BIG TIME! What a shame, I'm really feeling your pain on that one JEDA.

I think you should give up your US Passport and become a Noggie. Much easier to get around. Btw did I tell you that you canh't get into Libya with a US passport either!!!

I'm sorry I didn't understand what you needed was a visa. I thought you forgot your passport. What a mess. I hope you get another chance to go again soon.
See ya soon...

Hmmm I would have laughed - except for that I have lived in Bergen in the past myself.

I know that feeling of so desperately needing to get away after a long winter..... the despair must be overwhelming.

Still no reason to get a norwegian passport?
